Is hiring a private investigator to follow my partner legal in NSW?
Yes. Licensed private investigators can lawfully observe and document a person's movements and conduct in public. We hold NSW Master Licence 412080174 (verify it on the NSW Government register) and every investigator working your matter is individually licensed. What's not legal, for us or for you, is hacking phones or emails, recording private conversations you're not part of, or unlawfully planting tracking devices. We don't do those things, and you shouldn't either; it's the fastest way to turn a wronged partner into a defendant.
Could the evidence be used in court for a divorce or custody matter?
Yes. Because our evidence is gathered lawfully by licensed investigators, it's admissible in Australian courts. You'll receive a factual, time-stamped report with photographs and video, prepared to a standard our investigators, many of them former police, have been held to their whole careers. Most clients never end up in court, but the evidence is built so it would stand up if you did.
